On the occasion of its annual conference on road safety, held in Prague, the ASECAP – European Association of Motorway Operators – presented encouraging results achieved over the past decade. Despite the increase in size of their networks and of the number of kilometres driven, most ASECAP members have achieved the objectives set by Europe, namely a reduction of 50% in fatal accidents. The conference was also the opportunity for the major players in the sector to discuss the 4th European programme on road safety.
