Finnish group Itella wishes to acquire the parcels activities of SmartPOST OÜ (). This latter company has perfected a parcels service in based on self-servicing terminals and on-line business. The transaction would involve the personnel (6 employees), the service concept, the SmartPOST name and 38 terminals covering the whole of . SmartPOST has around a 25% share of the Estonian parcels market. Following the transaction, Itella will employ some 170 persons in .
