Geodis, a subsidiary of the SNCF group, has just received authorisation to take over the Giraud company. It had announced its desire to do this at the beginning of  March. Geodis had already bought the Eastern European activities of Giraud, along with its activities in the steel-making domain, in the summer of 2009.
